About Me...
Since the age of 13, I have always been on one diet or another. None of them ever worked long-term and inevitably the weight would always come back on.
It took me many years to figure out why: there is no magic pill or quick fix. Fad diets are not sustainable and that is why they are impossible to follow long-term. They often ask us to overhaul our entire lifestyle, all at once and they strip a lot of enjoyment out of our lives. Who wants to do that forever?
I have completely changed my health through my relationship with food and exercise, but it didn't happen overnight. It was a very steady and continuous process. Lifestyle change will always be a "work in progess" - lasting changes take time. I replaced old habits with new ones and practiced them CONSISTENTLY.
As the years have gone by, I've compiled many tools from various sources and experiences in my life. Awareness, especially self-awareness, is key to making changes. This process allows us to become more in touch with our own bodies, more aware of how our bodies move, and helps us acknowledge our nutritional needs, emotional needs, spiritual needs.
I've developed my programs around habit-based coaching methods. This method has completely changed my behavior around eating and exercising. Forget fad diets. Forget the crazy, extreme exercise regimes. Over the last several years, I have changed my body composition from around 30% body fat to under 17% body fat, celebrating a 13 kilo weight-loss and doubled my strength. It is my hope that my personal transformation will inspire you. Lasting change is possible.
Why Health Coaching?
I strongly believe that for losing weight and building a strong, healthy body, there are three areas that need to be worked: Nutrition, Exercise, and Lifestyle. To optimally transform your body, you must create balance in all three of these areas. You must fuel your body properly. You must move you body. You must adopt habits that support a healthy lifestyle. It all works together for you to become your best self.

Wellness Chef:
After spending nearly 20 years working as a chef, studying nutrition was a natural move. I am an old school chef. I believe if your great-grandmother did not eat it, you probably shouldn't either! I am an advocate for eating a variety of nutrient-dense, seasonal, whole foods. Just because food is healthy, does not mean it has to be boring. Over the last several years, I have helped numerous clients hit their nutritional marks and weight loss goals through my cooking and recipes. Cooking will always be a passion of mine. I love sharing recipes and ideas that inspire clients to move away from processed, chemical-ladden foods and take control of their health, by taking control of their kitchens. A big part of my program is giving my client strategies and tools to make this their new reality. It may seem like you don't have time or it is just too daunting a task, but together, we will find ways for it work for you.

My background:
I've worked as a professional chef for nearly 20 years, in various restaurants while traveling and spent nearly 10 years working as a chef on luxury yachts, working for high-end clientele. Onshore, I ran my own small catering and cake design company. Although I loved designing cakes, I couldn’t help but ask myself, “Why am I encouraging people to eat sugar and white flour?” I knew it didn’t really fit in with my lifestyle and core values. I knew I could do better. I decided to use my chef skills for what I like to call Good and not Evil.
I am also a proud Mama of two great kids, age 11 and 8 years old. I understand firsthand how hard it can be to change and organize your life around raising children. But I am here to say that it can be done! As women, it is more important than ever to prioritize our self-care.
